BOOKING POLICY

ADVANCE RESERVATION DEPOSIT & FINAL PAYMENT

Once the property availability is confirmed, an advance reservation deposit (50% of the rental amount) is due within two working days to confirm your booking reservation. This sum is applied to the total balance. The remaining balance Final Payment (50%) is required 10 weeks prior to the date of arrival. Non payment of the balance by the due date will constitute a basis for cancellation and the property will be re-offered and cancellation conditions will be applied. For reservations made less than 10 weeks prior to the arrival date, the full rental amount (100%) is due at the time of booking.

The advance reservation deposit is required in Euro and can be paid as follows:

  1. Bank transfer in Euro. The purchaser is responsible for all bank fees and charges when wiring money from overseas; in order to expedite the booking, a copy of the bank transaction should be sent to us via email.
  2. Credit Card (Visa or Mastercard), through our Secure credit card payment system.

Your booking will be confirmed once the Deposit Payment has been received and the Reservation Confirmation, Booking Form (which includes a copy of your passport), and Credit Card Authorization has been signed and returned. Please note: There is a 3% surcharge fee for credit card payments. The minimum renting period is one week, from Saturday to Saturday. In some cases, depending on the season and/or time of year, a rental period of less than one week is accepted.


SECURITY DEPOSIT

The security deposit of €2000,00 Euro is held on the Guests’ credit card following the pre-authorization procedure in order to cover possible damages, accidental breakages, or loss at the property. The security deposit will be refunded less any damages or unpaid fees upon the Guests’ departure. In the event that there is damage and it is noted during the Departure Cleaning the guests will be contacted within 24 hours of their departure.

The Security Deposit is fully refundable upon departure, provided the following provisions are met:

  1. No damage is done to property or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.
  2. No personal property is missing from the premises.
  3. All debris, rubbish, and discards are placed in the dumpster.
  4. All keys are returned to DH.
  5. No linens are lost or damaged.

If there are any damages or missing items, the replacement cost of those items will be deducted from the security deposit and the balance will be refunded.


CANCELLATIONS

All cancellations need to be made in writing via email to info@tenutaceccatelli.com

  1. If cancellation is made after the Advance Reservation (50% of the total rental rate) is made, this amount will not be returned as forfeit of deposit.
  2. No refund or credit of Advance Reservation Deposit applies to bookings canceled after balance payment (Final Payment) is made; 10 weeks prior to the arrival date.
  3. Final Payments are not refundable.
  4. There will be no refunds for early departures.

As the cancellation policy is strictly enforced, we strongly recommend you take outcomprehensive travel insurance.


TRAVEL INSURANCE

If you elect to purchase travel insurance, the terms of the policy will dictate whether, and to what extent, coverage for any financial loss may exist under the circumstances of a pandemic, pre-existing medical conditions, and other policy exclusions. Consult the insurance carrier directly for details.


FORCE MAJEURE AND SIGNIFICANT CHANGES

Tenuta Ceccatelli is not liable and does not authorize any refunds for the following events: Acts of God (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane, or other natural disasters), war, invasion, acts of foreign enemies, hostilities (regardless of whether war is declared), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power or confiscation, terrorist activities, nationalization, government sanction, blockage, embargo, labor dispute, strike, lockout or interruption or failure of utilities, nuclear disaster, epidemics, quarantine, technical or administrative problems with transport or any other occurrences beyond our immediate control and which, despite all due care being taken, could not have been avoided.


PASSPORTS

All Guests’ are required to send a copy of their passports within 24 hours prior to the arrival date. US Citizens must carry a US passport valid for 6 months beyond the length of stay. Tourists and foreign guests must provide passports or national identification, which will be submitted to the state’s police web portal for the necessary registration required by Italian law within 24 hours of the Guests’ arrival. In addition, the Guests’ name, and their full home address is required within 24 hours after the reservation deposit has been made.


CARE OF PROPERTY

Guests are responsible for ensuring that, upon departure, the villa is left in the same condition of cleanliness and repair as found upon arrival. Any loss or damage caused by failure to respect fixtures or fittings will be deducted by the owner from the Guest’s security deposit. If Guests are aware of any damages, please notify the DH (Destination Host) immediately so that necessary repairs can be made. If damages are identified during the final inspection of the property, Guests will be expected to pay for the repairs upon departure. If the DH is unable to obtain an estimate, this should be notified to us as quickly as possible and we will contact the villa agent with the number of the repairs’ receipts.

TAX

Included.

TOURIST TAX

The tourist tax is a tax that must be paid per person for each night of your stay. It is the fee that tourists pay directly to the accommodation during their stay. This tax has variable costs depending on the municipality and is collected by the DH (Destination Host) during the meet and greet upon arrival. The amount of tourist tax ranges from €1.50 to €2 per day per person (for the first 7 nights ONLY). Children 14 years of age and younger do not pay a tourist tax.

ARRIVAL TIME

The arrival time is at 4:00pm. If Guests have been delayed and are arriving after 6:00pm it is essential that the estimated time of arrival is communicated to the DH in advance. No early check-in or late checkout, please.

DEPARTURE TIME

Departure time is at 10:00am to allow adequate time for preparation for incoming guests.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY

The maximum number of guests is limited to ten (10) persons in the Main House and four (4) persons in the Granary/Annex. Property owners reserve the right to refuse admittance if the number of persons arriving exceeds the maximum the property can sleep, as set out in the relevant listing description, except in the case of infants under two years old in a baby cot. The cot has to be requested on the booking form. Caravans and tents are not permitted on the property under any circumstances. Should the villa owner discover any additional occupants, clients will be asked to vacate the villa and no refund of the rental fee will be given. Subletting: Guests may not assign or sublet the premises. No other persons are permitted to stay at the accommodation nor can Guests arrange for visitors, private chefs, and cooks to come to the property for the purpose of events like parties, celebrations, or other large gatherings unless this has been agreed with us in writing and appropriate payments made (if applicable).

ACCIDENT & INJURIES

Tenuta Ceccatelli is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. Tenuta Ceccatelli is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest.

NON SMOKING PROPERTY

This is a NON-SMOKING property. Smoking is permitted outside only.

MINIMUM STAY

There is a seven (7) night minimum stay at Tenuta. If a rental is taken for less than seven days, the guest will be charged the seven-night rate. Reservations are from Saturday to Saturday ONLY unless the booking has been pre-approved.
