The Restoration

Made in Italy with love

“Our hearts truly belong to Tuscany. Knowing that this region is so rich in heritage and natural beauty, we maintained the integrity of the original structure throughout the restoration process to keep Tenuta as authentic as possible.” – Paolo Fagotti, Owner.

The restoration took place from 2015-2017 and was directed by Daniela Fagotti and her husband Paolo. Her sharp eye for detail and aesthetics created the perfect balance between traditional Tuscan charm and contemporary lifestyle needs. From the terracotta tiles in the floor to the regal wood beam ceilings and 17th-century fireplace, every surface of Tenuta Ceccatelli has been lovingly restored, honouring the architectural structures in place since the Middle Ages. The exterior buildings showcase the stones used in the first construction peeking out behind wisteria and wild grape vines. The interiors feature a maze-like succession of open and intimate spaces filled with an abundance of natural sunlight. Finely crafted Tuscan antiques were sourced from around the region and refurbished in a fifth-generation family-owned studio belonging to Florence’s most prestigious woodworkers which crafted the custom-made hand-carved wood furniture and fine artefacts – large mirrors, elegant tables, chairs, sideboards, and hand-carved wood and wrought iron chandeliers. Each en-suite bathroom has been outfitted with Italian design Berni fixtures, Florentine artisanal custom-made brass and bronze furnishings and finished with stunning Tuscan marble and travertine stone. Guests will also enjoy modern amenities such as master and junior suites with queen and king size beds, Frette linen, high-speed wifi, flat screen TV, and fully equipped custom-made kitchens fit for a master chef.

From the smallest details to the grand vistas, Tenuta has it all.

In touch with nature

A sanctuary of natural beauty, Tenuta Ceccatelli is found just beyond a narrow road lined with cypress trees that wind through an enchanting iron gate. The estate boasts iconic views of beautiful rolling hills, medieval hamlets and noble wine estates. Worlds away from the noise of the major cities, your morning espresso will be accompanied by a rosy sunrise and the gentle rustling of giant Italian cypresses, wild oak trees, ivy vines, olive groves, and potted lemon trees. Lavender, sage, rosemary, bay leaf and basil grow just outside the kitchen doors. Saving the best for last, our guests enjoy some of the most spectacular sunsets in all of Tuscany followed by breezy evenings and a sky filled with stars.
